Ophthalmic lenses are also known as corrective lenses. Historically they have been either round or oval. They now come in all types, shapes and sizes. They may be coloured even though they are not sunglases. 

At Palm Vision Center many options are available that can be tailored to suit not only your medical needs but also your fashion preferences.

  • LIGHTWEIGHT AND THIN LENSES
    For moderate to high prescriptions, we offer polycarbonate and high index lenses that look great and also offer a higher level of eye protection for children, athletes, and certain dangerous occupations.
  • POLARIZED LENSES
    Polarizing sunglasses eliminate reflected glare from different surfaces. These dark lenses provide an excellent option for those with many outdoors activities.
  • NON-GLARE LENSES
    Also known as anti-reflective (AR) lenses, this technology provides the sharpest and clearest vision available while reducing the unwanted glare that can come from headlights, streetlights, and computer monitors.
    We are an authorized Crizal® distributor along with many other anti-reflective brands.
  • NO LINE BIFOCALS
    Also know as progressives, these lenses provide a wide range of vision, from distance thru intermediate and near, all in one lens. This lens option is excellent for use when changing focus from far to near and everything in between. Best of all, nobody even knows you're wearing bifocals because they are invisible.
    We are the authorized Varilux® distributor along with many other progressive brands. 
  • TRANSITIONS LENSES
    These lenses stay clear indoor but darken with direct sunlight. This is an excellent option if you want to combine a clear lens with sunglasses, eliminating the need for separate sunglasses. 
  • ULTRAVIOLET AND BLUE-VIOLET BLOCKERS
    Another beneficial lens treatment is an invisible dye that blocks ultraviolet light.  Just as sunscreen keeps the sun's UV rays from harming your skin, UV-protective treatments for eyeglass lenses block those same rays from damaging your eyes.
